In preparation for this event, at least once a day, I completed a picture in <20minutes. Below you can see the results~

(Most recent first!)

Day 3

time: 20min

I decided to retry the idea from day 2. Personally I’m MUCH happier with this outcome!

Next time I want to develop more contrast in the center. And possibly get rid of the house…

Day 2

time: 20min

Definitely went in with an idea for what I wanted… The execution was less than ideal. I got caught up in the details too early and didn’t pay enough attention to composition.

I am happy with how efficient it was using a sponge with acrylics and water colors! But I need to make sure I’m not drenching my canvas right away and pay attention to composition and shapes overall…

Remember what I really want to be part of the picture and what can be left alone/obscure.

Day 1

time: 19min

First day of prep!

I didn’t really go in with any kind of ideas. There was a lot of colors used here- probably going to try to work on a dryer canvas next time.

Also going to experiment with sketching out figures or scenes really quickly in the beginning
